Welcome to The Wrap Station blog, dedicated to all things craft-related, but with a special emphasis on yarn and needle crafts.
I’m DeAnna McCall, owner of The Wrap Station (an online craft store specializing in handmade wraps, scarves and accessories), and a lover of all things craft-related.
I began crocheting as a young girl when my mom taught me basic crochet stitches during those long, cold, Northern Illinois winters. After I made my first afghan I was hooked (pun intended)! As an adult, I worked full time in healthcare administration, but filled my free time with arts and crafts of all kinds, including a sideline business as an oil and pastel artist.
Unfortunately, I began losing my vision a few years ago due to a genetic disease, which brought an end to both careers.
However, In spite of being legally blind in one eye and having unstable vision in the other, I find that with the use of magnification and bright light, I am still able to continue many of the crafts I love. So, now I spend my days crocheting, writing and looking on the bright side!
I would love to have you as a follower of The Wrap Station on WordPress, as well as Facebook, Twitter, and Etsy. And as a way to say thank you, each new follower will be entered to win this super soft chemo cap – perfect for yourself or a friend undergoing treatment. Just visit any of my pages, click “like” or “follow” and you will be automatically entered. That means up to 4 entries per person! The winner will be chosen at random on January 31st.
Thanks, and stay tuned for fun new articles, giveaways, free patterns and more on The Wrap Station.
